Dr Milap Rughani is a ConsultantPlastic & Reconstructive Surgeon working at the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital and a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Queensland.

Dr Rughani studied medicine at Leeds, was surgically trained at Oxford and completed his fellowships in Australia -  at Princess Alexandra Hospital Brisbane in Head & Neck / Microsurgery and the Melanoma Institute,Sydney.

He has undertaken research as a Clinical Research Fellow at the University of Oxford, Department of Oncology and the Ludwig Institute.

Qualified as not only as a Specialist Register Plastic surgeon but a certified Health Informatician and a teacher of Higher Education, Dr Rughani’s special interests are in Head & Neck Cancer and Reconstruction, Complex Skin Cancer, Melanoma, Trauma, Teaching & Learning and Teamwork.

Dr Rughani has won multiple awards including Qld Clinical Educator of the year and cites his greatest achievements  as a father of two girls, husband, the want to be a professional cricketer and climbing Mt Kilimanjaro as an expedition doctor.
